KATHMANDU: inDrive Nepal has launched 'Safe Driving Online Course' aimed at improving road safety for its driver partners across the country.
The mobile-friendly training programme is already live and has been completed by many drivers. inDrive said the course now aims to reach more than 100,000 drivers in Nepal.
The course is short, practical and designed for drivers on the move, taking about 20 minutes to complete. It is structured into three modules: Course A covers on-platform safety and professional boundaries; Course B focuses on road safety essentials for ride-hailing, including defensive driving and situational awareness; and Course C addresses emergencies, reporting and use of the in-app SOS feature.
Each module pairs a five-minute instructional video with five comprehension questions. Drivers must answer at least 80% of the questions correctly across all modules to receive a completion certificate. Those who do not pass on their first attempt may retake the quizzes without restriction.
Sunita Jeemi Rai, Senior Driver Operations Specialist at inDrive Nepal, said, "We want our drivers to feel confident, prepared, and supported, not just on the app, but in every situation they might face on the road. This course is about more than compliance. It's about giving our driver partners real tools they can use for the safety of both drivers and passengers."
inDrive said the course reflects the platform’s commitment to driver wellbeing and to practical, evidence-informed safety training that benefits drivers, passengers and communities. The course is available at www.indrivesafetycourse.com
