LG Electronics Singapore, CG Electronics launch 'Essential Series' home appliances in Nepalgunj

NEPALGUNJ: LG Electronics Singapore and its official Nepal distributor, CG Electronics, launched the ‘Essential Series’ line of home appliances in Nepalgunj on Tuesday. 

The launch took place under the campaign ‘Harek Gharko Khusi, Ghar-gharma LG’ (Happiness in Every Home, LG in Every Household).

The range comprises double-door refrigerators, fully automatic top-load washing machines and room air conditioners developed with features tailored to local needs and conditions. LG said the products combine modern technology, durability and affordability to make everyday life more convenient for Nepali households.

The double-door refrigerator uses Frost-Free Technology to remove the need for manual defrosting and a Smart Mode that automatically adjusts cooling according to the weather. LG also highlighted a 20% larger vegetable storage capacity compared with previous models.

The fully automatic top-load washing machine is fitted with a ProShield Motor, BMC Cover and an IPX4-certified water-resistant control panel. It also incorporates Low-Pressure Fill Technology to ensure effective washing under low water pressure, the company said.

LG’s room air conditioner offers both cooling and heating functions and uses energy-efficient inverter technology. The unit runs on R32 refrigerant, consumes less electricity than conventional non-inverter models and operates with reduced noise for greater user comfort.

LG and CG Electronics said sales and distribution of the Essential Series began across Nepal in June 2026. Initial prices start at about Rs 49,690, and the products are available through official LG Brand Shops, multi-brand retail outlets and major e-commerce platforms nationwide.
