Zonta Club of Kathmandu honoured with Zonta Excellence in Service and Advocacy Award

KATHMANDU: Zonta Club of Kathmandu has been honoured with the Zonta Excellence in Service and Advocacy Award at the 67th Zonta International Convention in Vancouver, Canada.

The club received the international honour for the 2024–2026 biennium in recognition of its work to strengthen collective action to prevent offline and online violence against women and girls. This marks the second consecutive biennium that the Kathmandu chapter has secured the recognition, which is awarded to only six Zonta clubs out of 1,100 worldwide every two years.

Ztn. Bina Rana, who leads the club as president for the 2024–2026 biennium, accepted the honour on behalf of Zonta Club Kathmandu. A delegation of 10 representatives from Nepal attended the convention, which took place from  July 11 to 14, 2026.
