Finance minister directs officials to implement budget for FY 2026/27

KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle has directed concerned officials and secretaries to work in a timely manner on implementation of budget for the fiscal year 2026/27.

Wagle issued the directives to the secretaries of various ministries during a meeting at the Ministry of Finance on Monday, asking them to work effectively to implement the budget, according to the minister’s secretariat.

The meeting was attended by National Planning Commission Vice‑Chairman Dr Gunakar Bhatta and Finance Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyaya, as well as the secretaries of the Ministries of Infrastructure Development, Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Agriculture, Health, Education, Foreign Affairs, Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Labour, Women and Children, Home and Defence.
