New e-commerce platform ChynaBazar set to launch on Jul 29
KATHMANDU: A new e-commerce platform, ChynaBazar, is scheduled to officially launch on Wednesday, July 29. The platform will enter Nepal’s retail sector with a direct-from-manufacturer model that will link Nepali shoppers with Chinese factories.
The platform aims to enable shoppers to buy quality goods at fair and transparent prices by eliminating intermediate mark-ups. Imported merchandise in Nepal typically moves through long supply chains involving importers, wholesalers and distributors, which adds extra cost and inconsistency.
ChynaBazar will manage every stage of the retail process under one roof. The company selects products, sources them directly from Chinese manufacturers, transports them via its own logistics set-up, stores them in company-run warehouses and handles final delivery to consumers. In a press statement, the firm said this unified structure shortens delivery times, keeps costs low and maintains consistent pricing despite unpredictable market supply.
At launch, operating under the tagline 'Enjoy Your Shopping', the platform will offer an expanding inventory of electronics, fashion, lifestyle products and health and beauty items. Customers can complete purchases using digital payment channels such as eSewa and Khalti, supported by the company’s dedicated warehousing network to keep items in stock.
“Nepal’s digital economy has been expanding steadily, and trade ties with China continue to deepen,” Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Stutee Shrestha said. “ChynaBazar aims to grow alongside both trends, with plans to widen its product range and delivery footprint across the country over time.”
ChynaBazar.com will go live on Wednesday at www.chynabazar.com. As a Nepal-based platform, it operates an integrated sourcing, storage and distribution framework to connect local buyers directly to Chinese factories.
