Sudurpaschim government to provide farmers interest-free loans

SUDURPASCHIM: Sudurpaschim Province government has announced to provide farmers with interest-free loans to promote commercial farming. In the provincial government's budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2023/24 released on Friday, the provincial government has announced to provide interest-free loans by bringing about reforms in the agricultural grants and properly utilise such grants. The province government has allocated Rs 40 million to provide such loans through the establishment of Province Agriculture Promotion Fund. The province has also planned to become self-reliant on legumes, spicy goods and fruits within five years.
