KATHMANDU: The Department of Passports (DoP) has increased production capacity and is now printing about 1,500 e-passports a day.

The department said demand has risen, particularly after a growth in the number of Nepalis seeking employment in South Korea.

In a press release on Wednesday, the DoP said it has been improving service and passport production capacity to provide e-passports to Nepali citizens in a convenient, prompt, secure and effective manner.
