NIBL Equity Partners signs term sheet with Incessant Rain Studios to invest up to Rs 100m in 'Lost in Mandala'

KATHMANDU: NIBL Equity Partners, managed by NIMB Ace Capital, has signed a term sheet with Incessant Rain Studios to invest up to Rs 100m in the original animated feature film 'Lost in Mandala'. The proposed transaction is subject to the completion of definitive agreements and applicable conditions.

The investment will support the film’s production and related project activities as it is developed in Nepal for a global audience.

Incessant Rain Studios is developing 'Lost in Mandala' in collaboration with Lost in Mandala LLC. NIBL Equity Partners and Myth Terra aim to support the film’s continued development as it targets a worldwide release. Prior to this agreement, NIMB Ace Capital assisted the project by facilitating fundraising initiatives and presenting the film to investors during an exclusive showcase at QFX Cinemas.

Created and directed by Kiran Bhakta Joshi, 'Lost in Mandala' is an animated fantasy adventure inspired by the spiritual traditions, mythology and landscapes of the Himalayas. The narrative follows a 12-year-old girl raised by Buddhist nuns in a remote Himalayan monastery who, along with her friends, is swept into a mysterious parallel world; to save both worlds she must harness the power of love and compassion to defeat a sinister dark force.

The screenplay features contributions from Zack Stentz, and the project is produced by Deepa Chipalu Joshi.
