Shangrila Motors reroutes Leapmotor B10 imports via Korala border amid Rasuwagadhi disruption

KATHMANDU: Shangrila Motors has rerouted imports of the Leapmotor B10 through the Korala border crossing in Mustang to avoid supply disruptions. Recent flash floods along the Bhotekoshi corridor in Rasuwa district temporarily disrupted the Rasuwagadhi trade route used for the vehicle's import from China.

The company said the alternative logistics arrangement has been introduced to avoid delays, with customer deliveries of the B10 expected to begin soon. Leapmotor vehicles are typically imported from China via the Rasuwagadhi border.

According to Shangrila Motors, the move follows strong customer interest and a high number of bookings for the Leapmotor B10 during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 and the NADA Auto Show 2026. The company said it is accelerating transport and customs clearance through the Korala route to ensure timely deliveries to customers across the country.

The Leapmotor B10 has gained traction in the Nepali electric vehicle market following a post-budget price reduction. The model is priced at Rs 5.499 million.

The vehicle is equipped with a 160 kW rear-wheel-drive motor and a 67.1 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed driving range of up to 600 kilometres on a single charge under the CLTC standard.

Other features include 180 mm of ground clearance, a 14.6-inch 2.5K HD touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 360-degree camera with recording capability, heated and ventilated leatherette seats, and a panoramic sunroof with a sunshade.
