JCB India honours Nepali customers following Bhotekoshi flood rescues

KATHMANDU: JCB India has recognised two of its Nepali customers, Ain Bahadur Raut and Netra Bahadur Adhikari, for their significant contributions to rescue operations during the recent flooding in Nepal. Their efforts enabled the rescue of two trapped individuals.

Operating a JCB 221 tracked excavator and additional machinery, Raut and Adhikari worked for several days at the Trishuli 3A site. The two men were felicitated at the JCB Pavilion during Bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026. Deepak Shetty, CEO and Managing Director of JCB India, personally praised their actions.

In his remarks, Shetty highlighted that their actions form a story that "gives hope even in tragedies such as the one we saw in Nepal," adding that despite showing such courage, both men "remain extremely simple and humble."

To support disaster recovery, authorised JCB equipment dealer MAW Earthmovers is operating the JCB Disaster Relief Special Free Service Camp. Operating via JCB WOW Service vehicles, the initiative services machinery deployed in rescue, relief, and reconstruction tasks across the Nuwakot and Dhading districts. Safety kits have also been distributed to machine operators working in hazardous conditions.
