FM Khanal meets India's External Affairs Minister Jaishankar

KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal and India's Minister for External Affairs Dr S Jaishankar held a bilateral meeting in New York, United States, today.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly at the UN headquarters in New York.

According to Minister Khanal's secretariat, he expressed sincere appreciation to the government and people of India for their solidarity and immediate, critical support following the recent catastrophic floods in Nepal.

The secretariat also noted that the two ministers exchanged views on various key issues of mutual interest and discussed further strengthening the close and longstanding ties between Nepal and India.
