
KATHMANDU: Nepal Italy Chamber of Commerce and Industries (NICCI) on Monday announced the Bilateral Business Meet, NICCI Day and unveiled the first edition of the NICCI newsletter.
The event signified NICCI's commitment to fostering tourism, export-import, industries and commercial relations between Nepal and Italy.
The event was graced by the presence of the Italian Ambassador to Nepal, Vincenzo De Luca, reinforcing the strong ties between Italy and Nepal, and collaboration for lasting partnerships.

NICCI President Sanjay Agrawal said, “NICCI Day 2023 also provided an opportunity to reflect upon the remarkable journey undertaken since the establishment of the Chamber. It was a moment of celebration and introspection, as participants acknowledged the achievements and looked ahead to the future. The event emphasised the importance of reinforcing the commitment to bilateral trade, promoting innovation, and fostering strong partnerships that will drive sustainable growth and prosperity.”
On the occasion, the Consulate General of Nepal to Italy, Pratima Rana Pandey, delivered a welcome speech and congratulated NICCI President Agrawal, and extended him best wishes for the first edition of the newsletter.
Likewise, Rajesh Kazi Shrestha, Patron of NICCI, pointed out that such programmes have been successfully completed in the past as well as addressed future plans.

Italian Ambassador Vincenzo spoke about the future plans of Nepal and Italy and on promoting tourism, import, export, and industry in a more orderly manner, the market of Nepali coffee, Nepali handicrafts in Italy, and business and industry by highlighting the society of Nepali immigrants in Italy. He also unveiled the first edition of the magazine emphasizing strengthening relations between Nepal and Italy.
