KATHMANDU: A Nepali migrant worker returning home from foreign employment is now allowed to bring two mobile phone sets.
Previously, a returnee migrant worker was allowed to bring only one mobile phone set after completing the customs process.
Only Nepali citizens who have been working abroad for at least six consecutive months after obtaining labour permits will benefit from this facility. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday evening approved such a facility proposed by Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat.
Previously, there was a provision that a person could bring only one set of each desktop or laptop computer, watch, camera, video camera and mobile phone in use.
