
KATHMANDU: The seventh edition of the Chitwan International Industrial Expo will take place from May 5 to 7.
The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and Chitwan Industry Association (CIA) will jointly organise the three-day exhibition of industrial and manufacturing sectors at the Chitwan Expo Centre, Bharatpur.
The exhibition is being held with the objective to foster the growth of entrepreneurship and industrial productivity by providing a platform for businesses, and to showcase their products and services, CNI informed at a press meet organised in Kathmandu on Monday.
The Chitwan International Industrial Expo 2023 will also support entrepreneurship development and industrial growth, organisers said.
The expo will feature products and services of construction, agriculture, automobile, furniture, engineering, metal, pharmaceuticals, textile, printing, packaging, plastic, tourism, food and beverages and other industries.
At the expo, more than 200 stalls of national and international companies will showcase modern agricultural and industrial machinery, and technology that are useful for the industries, according to the organisers.

CNI President Vishnu Kumar Agarwal said that the expo to be held in Chitwan is a step forward in encouraging entrepreneurs and boosting the morale of industrialists at a time when the economy is facing a challenging situation. He also mentioned that the industrial expo will encourage communities to start their own business.
CIA Chairman Trilochan Kandel, the organiser of the exhibition, opined that the expo will be a suitable platform for young people to find a niche in entrepreneurship.
