Tourists affected as flooded river obstructs Jomsom-Korala road

DHORPATAN, BAGLUNG: Domestic and foreign tourists visiting Upper Mustang have been affected as the flooded river has obstructed Jomsom-Korala road.

Kaligandaki corridor, the road under national pride project, has been disrupted at Tanbe of Varagung Muktichhetra Rural Municipality in Mustang district, said Chief District Officer (CDO) Anup KC. 

With the obstruction of the road, vehicular movement between Jomsom-Korala and Upper Mustang-Jomsom-Pokhara-Kathmandu has come to a halt, according to KC.

Efforts are on to clear and restore the road by this evening, said CDO KC.
