CNI reps meet Minister Basnet, hold talks on energy sector development

KATHMANDU: A delegation of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) led by its newly elected President Rajesh Kumar Agrawal met with Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Shakti Bahadur Basnet. In the meeting held at the ministry on Friday, they held talks on the country's economy and energy sector development. Minister Basnet said the government was committed to deepening cooperation with the private sector for the development of the power sector. Around Rs 2,000 billion is required to produce 10,000 megawatts (MW) of power in the current cost of production and it will have a far-reaching influence on the economy, said Minister Basnet. He stated that the government was preparing to announce 'Energy Decade' for the overall development of energy sector in the country. By RSS READ ALSO:
