
KATHMANDU: Universal Peace Federation, Women's Federation for World Peace, and Family Federation for World Peace on Monday hosted the launch of Nepali edition of 'Mother of Peace', a memoir by Dr Hak Ja Han Moon'.
The momentous event took place at the exquisite Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, where distinguished guests and prominent personalities gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr Hak Ja Han Moon.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Indira Ranamagar attended the event as the chief guest. Other guests included HoR members, artists and mediapersons.
The programme began with the opening remarks by Ek Nath Dhakal, MP and Chairman of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace - Asia Pacific.
Three youths, namely Shree Raj Paudel, Ruichi Limbu, and Supekshya Thapa, each read a section from a respective chapter of the Nepali edition of the memoir. This was followed by a reflection given by Shova Gyawali, Founder and Publisher, Nepal Republic Media; Ananda Karki, Singer; and Deepak Maharjan, Principal of Sangrila International School. They shared how Dr Hak Ja Han Moon’s memoir inspired them to be more active in pursuing peace within their communities.

This event also awarded new Ambassadors for Peace — Muralidhar, Manju Karki and Deepak Maharjan. Dr Charles Yang, Chairman of UPF International, expressed his support and greetings through a congratulatory video which was featured in the programme. Rev Masaichi Hori, FFWPU Chairman of Asia Pacific also expressed his greetings through a live video speech.
The closing remarks were given by Blessie Dhakal, International Coordinator of the International Association of First Ladies for Peace and Chairwoman of WFWP-Nepal.
On the occasion, Stellar Entertainment put on performances from Jinho Shrestha and Agrata Bhatta. Renowned singer Ananda Karki also performed at the event.
