CNI delegation calls on Labour and Administration ministers

KATHMANDU: A delegation of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) on Tuesday called on Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Sharat Singh Bhandari and Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Aman Lal Modi. During the separate meetings, the CNI representatives led by newly elected President Rajesh Kumar Agrawal exchanged views on the nation's economy, labour and transport issues and so on with the ministers. The CNI demanded the government make an endeavour to promote economic activities and the private sector. They said the private sector has been affected due to economic slowdown and stressed the government's efforts to revive it. The CNI representatives urged the government to increase minimum remunerations for employees. Both ministers congratulated the newly elected executive committee of the CNI, wishing them a successful tenure.
