NICCI Vice President KC elected to Singati Hydro Energy Board of Directors

KATHMANDU: Vice President of Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NICCI), Sunil KC, has been elected to the Singati Hydro Energy Board of Directors. The 12th and 13th annual general meeting (AGM) of Singati Hydro Energy held on June 28 elected KC to the Board of Directors from the promoter shareholder group. KC is the Founder of Asian Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs (AIDIA), a think tank based in Kathmandu, which has been doing advocacy in the field of diplomacy for almost a decade. He has been contributing his expertise to the area of economic diplomacy as well as to the area of bilateral and trilateral engagement of Nepal, India and Bangladesh and has also been doing advocacy for such Nepal-India trade, investment, energy cooperation and a trilateral engagement and power trade among Nepal, India and Bangladesh since 2015. At present, the NICCI Vice President has been actively engaged in the development of Hydro Energy and attracting FDIs in the energy sector as hydropower is the key to narrowing down the trade deficit with India as well as for the overall economic development of Nepal. KC has also been sharing his views through articles frequently published in national and international publications and online media. As a board member of Singati Hydro Energy, KC is expected to contribute to the company as well as the overall energy sector of Nepal. NICCI has expressed the belief that KC’s engagement will be successful in bringing FDI from India to Nepal’s energy sector in the days ahead. Meanwhile, NICCI has congratulated all newly elected Board of Directors of Singati Hydro Energy and extended wishes for their successful tenure. READ ALSO:
