MIT Entrepreneurship Club organises event 'Nepal's Next Founders'

KATHMANDU: The Model Institute of Technology’s MIT Entrepreneurship Club organised an event titled Nepal’s Next Founders today.

Opening the event, CEO of MIT, Ram Krishna Dahal, said, “Nepal’s next founders are in this room,” while addressing students pursuing higher education.

The first panel, titled “Inspiring the Next: Student Founders on Challenges, Growth & Grit”, was moderated by the Head of the Entrepreneurship Club, Mohit KC. The panellists included Kushalta Thapa, founder of Wool of Love; Santosh Magar, Founder and CEO of Online Class Nepal; Samriddhi Singh Bhandari, founder of EVSIL Studio; and Umesh Prasad Pandey, founder and CEO of Vistamails. The panel discussed leveraging the resources available in the digital spheres with skills acquired through work and practice.

The panellists said they started their businesses early and developed their ventures through trial and error, sharing their journey with the audience.

The second panel, titled “Empower, Innovate, Impact: Building Brands and Uplifting Communities”, was moderated by Niraj Kafle, while the panellists included Kshitiz Chandra Ojha, CEO of Digital Gurkha; Simon Dahal, CEO of Syanko Katti Roll; Sudip Bhai Subedi, Founder of In-Depth Story; and Suruchi Khadka, founder of Aama’s Creation. The panel discussed the unique landscape of operating a business in Nepal and the opportunities it provides.

Experts tempered audience expectations and delivered insider insights for business growth.

Bipin Kumar Acharya, Joint General Secretary of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), led a policy address at the closing session.
