KATHMANDU: MAW Vriddhi, the authorised distributor of Nepal’s No.1 luxury EV brand Deepal, is preparing to launch the all-new Deepal S05 SUV later this week, aiming to push the boundaries of the country’s compact electric vehicle market with its distinctive design, advanced features, and next-generation technology.

Positioned as a more refined successor to the popular Deepal S07, the S05 arrives with a bold aerodynamic profile, frameless doors, and unique star-feather-inspired LED tail lamps — a combination that earned it the prestigious iF Design Award 2025.

Inside the cabin, the S05 introduces a segment-first Queen Co-Pilot seat, offering zero-gravity recline, ventilation, memory settings, leg support, and a one-touch nap function. Both front seats feature a welcoming mode, while a 14-speaker surround sound system with outdoor playback, a spacious 160-litre frunk, and premium interior finishes add to the vehicle’s upscale appeal.

On the technology front, the S05 is equipped with Remote In & Out Parking, a first in its category, allowing drivers to park the vehicle remotely with ease. Safety is further enhanced by ADAS 2.0, which includes 19 intelligent assistance features, and an Augmented Reality Head-Up Display, projecting real-time navigation, speed, and traffic signals directly onto the windscreen.

Powering the SUV is the Golden Shield Battery System 2.0 from global battery leader CATL, offering an impressive 600,000-kilometre lifespan. The battery supports ultra-fast charging, with 30% to 80% charge achievable in just 15 minutes, and delivers reliable performance even in extreme cold — making it well-suited for Nepal’s varied terrain and climate.

With the introduction of the Deepal S05, MAW Vriddhi aims to build on the success of the S07 and reinforce Deepal’s leadership in Nepal’s luxury EV segment.
