GULMI: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has temporarily amended its flight schedule to Gulmi in Lumbini Province.

The national flag carrier will now operate only one flight per week to the district, reduced from four weekly services previously running on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The adjustment follows the grounding of two of NAC’s Twin Otter aircraft, leaving only one available for the route. Resunga Airport station manager Suman Thapa said the sole weekly service to Gulmi will now operate on Thursdays.

Regular services had earlier been disrupted for approximately six weeks owing to adverse weather conditions.

Under the revised timetable, the 18-seat Twin Otter will depart Kathmandu at 6:30 am, with a fare of Rs 7,500, and return from Gulmi at 7:30 am, with a fare of Rs 7,300.

Nepal Airlines launched commercial flights to Gulmi on May 12, 2023.
