Curfew order in Bhaktapur

Bhaktapur: The District Administration Office, Bhaktapur, has issued a curfew order from 8:30 am today to until further notice in some areas of the district. Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur district Namaraj Ghimire issued the curfew order as per clause 6 (A) of the Local Administration Act, 2028.

As per the curfew order, all movements, gatherings, demonstrations, rallies, meetings, and picketing are strictly prohibited within the specified areas.

CDO Ghimire stated that the curfew order was issued to curb any untoward activities and to maintain law and order.

With the enforcement of the curfew order, human mobility, gathering, rally, demonstration, meeting and protests are prohibited in the concerned areas in Bhaktapur Municipality, Changunarayan Municipality and Suryabinayak Municipality.

The areas covered by the curfew order include Jadibuti, Radheradhe, Balkot, Nikosera, Pepsikola and the 200 metres of the areas of Araniko Highway from Jadibuti to Sanga in the district.
