KATHMANDU: Nepal's leading motorcycle brand, Bajaj, opened its annual 'Grand Exchange Carnival' at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, on Friday.

Motorcycle and scooter owners can trade in their old vehicles for brand-new Bajaj models with exceptional ease.

Over 22 professional evaluators are on hand to assess used vehicles and ensure customers receive top market value. Participants can also claim cash discounts of up to Rs 10,000, free accessories and instant on-site financing.

Daily lucky draws offer prizes of up to Rs 50,000, while a dedicated experience zone allows visitors to test-ride Bajaj’s electric scooter, the Chetak.

A simplified financing process requires only a citizenship certificate, eliminating the usual need for property papers, utility bills or income verification. With zero service charges and flexible payment plans, the carnival aims to make motorcycle ownership more accessible.

The event ties into Bajaj’s Premier League campaign for the Dashain-Tihar festival season, which awards weekly prizes of Rs 50,000 in each of Nepal’s seven provinces, Rs 100,000 grand prize and exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities with leading cricketers.

Hansraj Hulaschand & Co continues its tradition of customer-friendly exchange programmes during major festivals, emphasising affordability, convenience and transparency.

The carnival will conclude on Wednesday.
