
KATHMANDU: More than 78,000 foreign tourists entered Nepal in September. According to data unveiled by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) on Tuesday, a total of 78,711 tourists visited Nepal during the month.
The inflow of tourists during the tourism season has declined, the data show. The number of tourist arrivals decreased by 18.3% compared to September last year. In September 2024, a total of 96,302 tourists had visited Nepal.
According to NTB data, tourist arrivals included 15,556 from India, 5,237 from China, 9,679 from the United States, 3,015 from Sri Lanka and 2,230 from Bangladesh, among others.
In August this year, there was an influx of 88,680 tourists.
