Organisers said the exhibition aims to revisit the political and cultural legacies of the Third World project and to explore histories of resistance and solidarity from the majority world, and how these have shaped contemporary processes to reclaim sovereignty in regions battered by centuries of colonialism, exploitation and violence.
PhotoKTM hopes to deepen cultural understanding among artists and cultural communities across the Global South, strengthen reciprocal transnational solidarities and open pathways for greater south–south collaboration and exchange across geographies.
The exhibition is open to visitors from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm until December 14. It stands as a reminder that people will continue to fight for their freedom, rights and lives, and showcases how resilience and determination have shaped and changed the world.
