KATHMANDU: vivo has begun teasing a new flagship smartphone, the X300 Pro, promising a significant advance in mobile photography through a partnership with optics specialist ZEISS and the introduction of OriginOS 6.

Teasers are already live across vivo’s official social media channels, and the company is amplifying the launch through the Nepal Premier League, generating early buzz ahead of a full unveiling. vivo says the X300 Pro is aimed at users who prioritise professional‑grade imaging on a smartphone.

According to the company, the X300 Pro will feature a 200 MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera designed to deliver high detail and colour accuracy for distant subjects. The handset is also said to include vivo’s ZEISS Gimbal‑Grade main camera for improved stability and low‑light performance, alongside a refreshed 50 MP ZEISS wide‑angle front camera.

vivo describes a dual‑chip imaging architecture for the device: a Pro Imaging Chip VS1 that pre‑processes each frame, and a jointly defined Dimensity 9500 with a V3+ imaging chip and a dedicated imaging NPU that handles post‑processing. The company says the two chips work together to speed up imaging and broaden scene coverage.

Beyond cameras, early reports indicate the X300 Pro will offer premium hardware such as Armour Glass for better scratch and drop resistance, and a 6510mAh BlueVolt battery with 90W FlashCharge to support all‑day use and fast recharging.

vivo has not yet announced a launch date or pricing. The company says it will fully unveil the X300 Pro soon and positions the handset as a device that “empowers every user to capture and share their most memorable moments.”
