KATHMANDU: Financial Comptroller General Office (FCGO) has submitted the consolidated financial statements of the federal, provincial and local governments for last fiscal year 2024/25.
Today, Financial Comptroller General Shobha Kanta Poudel separately submitted the report to Finance Minister Rameshore Prasad Khanal and to the Auditor General, Toyam Raya.
The FCGO has been responsible for operating the Federal Consolidated Fund and for preparing and submitting the consolidated financial statements and reports of all three levels of government.
In fiscal year 2024/25, although the consolidated fund of the federal, provincial and local governments was negative by Rs 108,990.6 million, the cash position remained positive by Rs 104,138.4 million, the FCGO said in a press release. Based on the balances of various funds of the federal, provincial and local governments and extra‑budgetary systems, the cash and bank balance is seen to be positive by Rs 188,945.8 million.
The statements and reports, prepared in accordance with the Nepal Public Sector Accounting Standards (NPSAS) approved by the Government of Nepal and the accounting format approved by the Auditor General, also include details of federal, provincial and local governments and extra‑budgetary entities as prescribed by law.
