Kathmandu: The Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) on Thursday organised a formal ceremony to bid farewell to Harkirat Singh Bedi, outgoing Business Head of Dabur Nepal, and to welcome his successor, Vijay Ameta.
NICCI members acknowledged Mr Bedi’s tenure at Dabur Nepal and his service to the Chamber as Vice-President and Convener of the Indian Business Forum (IBF). Speakers credited him with strengthening Nepal–India private sector engagement, encouraging ethical business practices and supporting trade facilitation initiatives.
Officiating President Kunal Kayal highlighted Mr Bedi’s role in fostering dialogue and trust between business communities of the two countries, while General Secretary Rajan Sharma noted his contribution to corporate responsibility efforts and broader economic engagement.
Saibal Gosh, Co-Convener of the IBF, praised Mr Bedi’s leadership and consensus-building approach during his time with the Forum.
Concluding the programme, NICCI Vice-President and current IBF Convener Gaurav Tayal extended best wishes to both Mr Bedi and Mr Ameta, expressing confidence that the new leadership would further strengthen Dabur Nepal’s collaboration with the Chamber.
NICCI reaffirmed its commitment to promoting bilateral trade and investment, noting that Dabur Nepal has been recognised by the Government under the largest taxpayer (export) category.
