Nawalpur Transport Management Office collects Rs 233m in revenue in 9 months

MADHYABINDU, NAWALPUR: Transport Management Office in Nawalparasi (Bardhghat Susta East) has collected more than Rs 233 million in revenue in the first nine months of current fiscal year 2025/26.

Office Chief Tek Bahadur Nepali said the sum was raised under several headings, including vehicle tax, driving licence, vehicle registration and other administrative fees.

According to Nepali, Rs 192.42 million came from vehicle tax, Rs 37.49 million from driving licences and vehicle registration, Rs 2.32 million from income revenue of the transportation sector and Rs 771,528 from other administrative service fees during the period.

Nepali said the office launched a special campaign in Chaitra to make tax collection more systematic and effective, and added that revenue had increased due to prompt and transparent service delivery.

The office had collected more than Rs 235.4 million in revenue in the last fiscal year 2024/25.
