BHAKTAPUR: The 10th Bhaktapur Industrial, Cultural, Tourism, Agriculture and Trade Fair at Sallaghari in Bhaktapur secured transactions totalling over Rs 8 million.
Held on the occasion of the New Year 2083, the fair ran for 12 days and concluded on Monday. Over 130,000 people, including consumers, visited the event organised by Industrial Peace Nepal, chair Sandip Mahat said.
The event featured industrial, cultural, tourism and agricultural products, with a total of 180 stalls showcasing a variety of items produced in various places, including Bhaktapur district.
Festival Coordinator Dipak Thapa said the fair aimed to promote local production and national and international brands. Visitors could buy daily essentials, including food items, handicrafts, electronic goods, agricultural tools, automobiles, woodcrafts, garments and IT gadgets.
Recreational facilities were also provided as part of the festival and proved a major attraction for children.
Noted singers such as Pramod Kharel, Durgesh Thapa, Alina Chauhan, Rachana Rimal, Priti Paswan and Bhojraj Kafle made presentations. Humour, comedy and dance performances were also staged to entertain visitors.
