DALLAS, TEXAS: The Nepal Tech Roadshow USA 2026 concluded in Dallas recently, bringing together technology leaders, entrepreneurs, diaspora professionals, investors and business representatives. Organised by the Nepal Association for Software and IT Services Companies (NAS-IT) in partnership with the Nepalese American Chamber of Commerce (NACOC), the event was held at Embassy Suites by Hilton Grapevine. Speakers at the roadshow highlighted recent gains in Nepal’s digital economy. They said the sector now includes more than 2,000 technology companies, over 100,000 tech professionals and nearly $1 billion in annual IT exports. Presenters pointed to a growing pool of engineering talent, an active startup scene and rising competitiveness in international markets.
Industry figures, including Richan Shrestha, Himal Karmacharya and Shankar Uprety, outlined Nepal’s digital transformation journey and the business opportunities that have emerged. Attendees from the Nepali diaspora said they were surprised by the breadth of services now offered by Nepali firms.
The Dallas session built on earlier international events, including the Nepal Tech Roadshow Sydney 2025 and a recent Nepal Tech Connect meeting in San Francisco.
NAS-IT said the series has opened new avenues for collaboration, investment, outsourcing partnerships and diaspora engagement, and has broadened international recognition of Nepal beyond tourism.
Event partners and sponsors were acknowledged for their roles in the programme. The NACOC served as the official local partner. Dexperts Inc was the title sponsor; the American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal (AmCham Nepal) acted as an associate partner; Focus Health and Fusemachines supported the event; and Global IME Bank participated as the sustainability partner.
NAS-IT, the event organiser, is a not-for-profit industry association representing Nepal’s software and IT services sector. The group works on policy advocacy, workforce development, innovation support and international market expansion with the stated aim of raising Nepal’s global visibility in technology and entrepreneurship.
