KATHMANDU: Xiaomi has launched two new AIoT devices in Nepal, the Xiaomi Tag and the Redmi Headphones Neo, aimed at making everyday life smarter and more convenient.

The Xiaomi Tag is a compact tracker weighing 10 g that helps users locate personal items such as keys, handbags and luggage through a dedicated tracking app. The device is compatible with a wide range of gadgets to improve location accuracy and includes a Lost Mode that shares the owner’s contact details when an item is found by someone else. It can alert users when an item appears in an unfamiliar location while allowing frequent locations to be pre-set to reduce unnecessary notifications.

In the Xiaomi tag, security features include encrypted tracking and an anti-tracking alert system. The tag uses a replaceable battery that can last up to one year and carries an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. Users can also share access to the device with others to help locate lost items.

They offer adaptive active noise cancellation of up to 42 dB, Hi-Res wired audio support and a 40 mm dynamic driver for deeper bass and fuller sound. The headphones provide up to 72 hours' battery life on a full charge and include a triple-microphone system with AI-powered noise reduction to improve call clarity. The model is available in black and sand white.

Xiaomi has set the retail price for the Redmi Headphones Neo at Rs 12,999 and the Xiaomi Tag at Rs 2,999 in Nepal.
