KATHMANDU: Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Pad 2 9.7" in Nepal, offering a metal-unibody tablet that combines an octa-core processor with a 9.7-inch 2K display and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The device is available in Graphite Grey and Silver and is priced at Rs 25,999 for the 4+128 GB configuration.

The tablet features a unibody metal construction intended to deliver durability and a premium appearance. Xiaomi said the 9.7-inch screen and 120 Hz refresh rate provide smooth visuals and responsive touch for video, browsing and gaming.

Battery life is a key selling point: the Redmi Pad 2 includes a 7,600 mAh battery with 18 W fast charging to support extended playback and daily use. Imaging and audio are handled by an 8 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front camera, immersive stereo speakers and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Running Xiaomi HyperOS 3, the tablet offers connectivity across the Xiaomi ecosystem and includes AI features such as AI face unlock for device access. The company lists the weight at 406 g and says the device is designed for easy portability.

The Redmi Pad 2 9.7" is now on sale in Nepal in the single 4+128 GB variant at the stated price.
