Finance minister tables annual budget, presents Finance Bill, 2083 at HoR

KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle tabled the annual estimate of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2026/27 and presented the Finance Bill, 2083, in the second meeting of the House of Representatives today.

The detailed deliberations on the budget will take place in a special set of meetings scheduled for June 1–3.

Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal set time limits for discussion during those budget sessions to ensure orderly debate.

The House of Representatives will next convene on May 31 ahead of the June hearings.
