KATHMANDU: inDrive, a global mobility and delivery platform, has marked five years of operations in Nepal and launched a campaign, 'inDrive Sanga Afnai Rojaimaa Chaina Pressure' or 'Drive Without Pressure', to highlight its driver-first approach and flexible working model.

The campaign, running from June through August 2026, focuses on the everyday realities of professional drivers and the importance of maintaining control over when and how they work. inDrive said the initiative underlines its commitment to transparent earnings, driver choice and flexible working conditions for Nepal’s ride-hailing community.

Since entering the Nepal market, inDrive has used a peer-to-peer model that lets drivers and passengers negotiate fares directly through the app. The company says this method gives drivers greater autonomy over ride selection, working hours and earnings.

As part of the initiative, inDrive is introducing the 'Homecoming Meter', a feature that will highlight stories of Nepali drivers who returned from overseas employment and rebuilt livelihoods in Nepal through platform-based work. The company said the initiative will align with national discussions on labour migration, economic resilience and local income-generation opportunities.

“Over the past five years, we have focused on building a platform that drivers can trust for the long term,” said Sunita Jeemi Rai, Senior Driver Operations Specialist at inDrive Nepal. “Drivers value flexibility, transparency and the ability to make decisions that work for their personal and professional lives. That principle continues to guide how we operate in Nepal.”

inDrive noted that Nepal is an important long-term market for its South Asia operations and that the company will continue to focus on sustainable growth and local community engagement. The inDrive app has been downloaded more than 400 million times and has been recognised as the second-most-downloaded ride-hailing app for the fourth consecutive year. The company operates in more than 1,100 cities across 48 countries and offers services including intercity transport, delivery and financial services.
