KATHMANDU: Jagdamba Motors, the official distributor of Proton vehicles in Nepal, has announced the addition of four new showrooms and service centres across the country following the official launch of the compact electric SUV, the Proton e.MAS 5.
The network expansion commenced on Tuesday with the inauguration of a facility in Radhe-Radhe, Bhaktapur. Equipped with superior infrastructure and top-tier service standards, the new Bhaktapur facility serves as Proton’s finest showroom and service centre in Nepal, the company said in a press statement.
Jagdamba Motors said three additional showrooms will open as early as next week in Birgunj, Janakpur and Nepalgunj. Meanwhile, the company provides sales and service through seven locations: Naxal, Thapathali, Biratnagar, Chitwan, Pokhara, Butwal and Dhangadhi.

The company said the strategy was initiated with the vision of becoming a leading customer-centric EV brand in Nepal. The expansion aims to ensure convenient access to Proton products and services for customers across the country and to respond to growing trust in the brand.
Jagdamba Motors has been the official distributor of Proton vehicles in Nepal since 2018. Since partnering with Geely in 2017, Proton, Malaysia’s leading national automotive brand, has broadened its global footprint. Today, the Proton e.MAS brand has emerged as Malaysia’s leading EV brand as it continues to strengthen its presence in international markets, including Nepal.
