inDrive Nepal pledges seed funding for 6 dream content ideas at 'Creators Bhetghat'
KATHMANDU: inDrive, the global mobility and delivery platform, gathered more than 60 emerging content creators in Kathmandu for ‘Creators Bhetghat’. The event launched ‘Dream It. Do It.’, an inDrive-backed creator fellowship that will seed-fund six original content ideas from participating creators, with all projects set to be filmed in Nepal.
The session opened with informal on-camera interviews in which participants shared the specific content ideas they have dreamed of creating in Nepal; those responses will help shape the fellowship’s lineup. An industry-insights segment followed, covering contract literacy, fair compensation and common red flags to watch for in brand and corporate deals.
During the event, 10 mixed teams competed at interactive stations — including pottery, painting and craft challenges — producing original content in a timed sprint judged on concept and execution.
At the conclusion of the event, inDrive Nepal confirmed it will fund six creators to produce the ideas they outlined earlier in the day. Proposed concepts ranged from documenting ethnic Nepali food to personal milestones such as an adventurous trip to Pokhara. Selected creators will receive seed funding as production support and full creative freedom.
The initiative responds to Nepal’s fast-growing creator economy, which has established itself as a genuine livelihood pathway for the country’s young digital talent. Reflecting the brand’s commitment to local storytellers beyond its core ride-hailing operations, the company said, “Dream It. Do It.” exists to extend a stepping stone for emerging storytellers to turn the content they have always wanted to make into reality, while building a lasting community of creators.
Selected creators will be announced through inDrive’s social media channels, with their content scheduled for filming and release over the coming months. inDrive Nepal also intends to expand into new themes and creator categories in future editions.
