KL Dugar Group sends emergency food supplies to flood-hit Rasuwa, Nuwakot

KATHMANDU: Industrial conglomerate KL Dugar Group has dispatched emergency food supplies to assist families affected by flash floods in the Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts, after severe flooding struck the Rasuwa region on August 26.

In the initial phase of the relief operation, two trucks carrying essential food provisions were sent to the disaster-hit areas. The relief materials were formally handed over at the District Coordination Committee premises in Bidur Municipality in the presence of Homnath Dahal, Administrative Officer at the District Administration Office in Nuwakot.

The packages contain rice, lentils, salt, wheat flour, cooking oil, biscuits, beaten rice (chiura), spices and other daily necessities. The supplies are intended to address immediate food shortages for families whose everyday lives have been severely disrupted by the deluge.

Heavy rainfall and flooding have damaged local road networks, creating logistical challenges across the region. KL Dugar Group intends to deliver additional relief consignments in phases, depending on road conditions and physical access.

The group expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the affected families, stating that standing alongside communities in times of crisis remains an integral part of its commitment to social responsibility. The organisation reiterated its intention to maintain humanitarian support and cooperation for those affected by the disaster.
