Paramount Motors opens booking for MG ZS EV (Deluxe)

KATHMANDU: Paramount Motors, the authorised importer and distributor of MG vehicles in Nepal, has made pre-booking price announcement for its new variant Electric SUV MG ZS EV (Deluxe) post the budget announcement for fiscal year 2023/24. Despite a substantial increase in the tax rate for EVs from 50KW to 100KW, the new price for MG ZS EV (Deluxe) as announced by the company is only Rs 5.299 million against the old price of 5.249 million. MG, the renowned international brand, has been making waves in the Nepali market with its exceptional range of cars solidifying its position as one of the leading automotive brands in the country. The EVs range of MG has received tremendous response in Nepali market making it one of the most preferred EV brands in the country. By capitalising on the reduction of EV raw material prices post-COVID and experiencing a surge in global sales, the parent company has been able to reduce the prices of their EV offerings globally successfully. Nepal being no exception, the current tax increment has a very minimal impact on the price of MG ZS EV (Deluxe). The company has confirmed that the customers will still be charged the old price of NPR 52.49 Lakhs on the stocks imported before the budget Announcement. The new MG ZS EV (Deluxe) is equipped with 99KW Motor Peak Power which delivers 280 N.m maximum torque and 51kwh battery capacity giving a Range of 320km (WLTP)* on a single charge, which can be charged upto 80% within 30 minutes with 8 years warranty for battery. The MG ZS EV Comes with safety features 6 airbags, ESP, EAB, HDC, Auto hold, features premium panoramic sunroof, 10.1-inch infotainment system with DAB radio and Bluetooth, a 7-inch driver’s digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, Keyless entry and start, Six-speaker 3D sound system, Six-way driver electrical adjustable leather power seats with heating, Two ISOFIX child seat anchorage points (outer rear seats), 60/40 folding rear seats, Roof rails, Power-folding mirrors etc. The Deluxe variant will be available in five colour options —Dover White, Cosmic Silver, Diamond Red, Pebble Black and Como Blue.
