
KATHMANDU: One-day seminar on school transformation for progressive education was held on July 23 under the joint initiative of Kathmandu University, EdChange Nepal and Neema Academy.
MP Geeta Rana, CEO of Neema Education Foundation; Nischal Pradhan, President of Ed-Change Nepal; Rajeshwari Malla and Balkrishna Luitel of Kathmandu University School of Education, as well as professors and stakeholders working in the field of education, were present at the seminar.
Various topics of progressive education were discussed in the program. Dean of the School of Education of KU; Prof Dr Balkrishna Luitel addressed the event.
Six working papers on various topics were also presented in the seminar. Vikesh Maharjan, Executive President of Ed-Change Nepal, made a presentation on the subject of school transformation for progressive education.
Professor Dr Associate Dean of Kathmandu University School of Education made a presentation on effective learning and school management in the seminar. Dhanpati Subedi and Dr Sheshkant Pangeni also made a presentation at the seminar.
Assistant Professor Dr Vinod Pant talked about the professional development of teachers and Laxman Gyawali briefed about STEM education.
Similarly, Vipul Kumar of STEM Pedia India made a presentation on the impact of AI on students, and Dr Lina Gurung presented gender issues.
The organiser informed that the interactive programme on school transformation for progressive education was fruitful.
