Three-day paragliding test flight underway in Kavre

KATHMANDU: Commercial paragliding service will be brought into operation following a three-day test flight in Panauti Municipality, Kavrepalanchok district. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation granted permission to Phulchoki Adventure Pvt Ltd to operate commercial paragliding in Phulchoki-Kushadevi area last January. Chairperson of Phulchoki Adventure, Chhabi Lal Humagain shared that a test paragliding began on Monday, February 13, as a preparation for launching commercial services. "The commercial paragliding will be started after a three-day test paragliding." He informed that 'demonstration' paragliding was being made for now before the delivery of commercial service. Following a successful test operation, the company will operate 10 paragliding flights to provide the service, he said. Prior to this, a test flight of paragliding was conducted from Gurdumdanda four years ago during a tourism festival. Fisteen paragliders conducted test flights for three days. Paragliders took off from Gurdumdanda and landed at Bancharetar in Kushadevi. READ ALSO:
