
KATHMANDU: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala has asked taxi entrepreneurs to shift their choice to electric vehicles (EVs).
During a meeting with the taxi entrepreneurs on Thursday, Minister Jwala asked them for beginning the EVs instead of the fossil fuel-powered vehicles, which he said is the need of the hour.
Minister Jwala also asked them to get ready for EVs mentioning that the government is working to draft new laws promoting EVs.
Transport Minister Jwala opined that the embossed number plate should be in Devanagiri.
He urged the taxi entrepreneurs to go online for transactions and use uniform for their clear identification.
