KATHMANDU: inDrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, has successfully concluded its 'Rides For Goals' campaign in Kathmandu. The initiative aimed to transform public school playgrounds and promote sports participation among young students.

Running throughout May, the campaign contributed 10% of every third ride’s fare towards renovating playgrounds at selected public primary schools and providing essential sports kits. The funds were used directly to renovate and improve playground infrastructure, create safe and engaging recreational spaces, and distribute sports kits including basketballs, futsal balls and badminton rackets, thereby encouraging physical activity and early involvement in sports.

“At inDrive, we believe mobility should empower and uplift communities. ‘Rides For Goals’ reflects our commitment to social impact by directly supporting the health and development of schoolchildren through better play environments,” said Pavit Nanda Anand, APAC Communications Lead at inDrive.

Mark Tolley, Regional Director of inDrive Asia Pacific, added, “This initiative is a great example of how everyday actions – like taking a ride – can make a tangible difference. We are committed to projects that create lasting value in communities, and ‘Rides For Goals’ is just one step towards ensuring that every child has access to the joy and benefits of play.”

The 'Rides For Goals' initiative forms part of inDrive's broader mission to promote social equity and contribute positively to the communities it serves, particularly in underserved and developing regions. inDrive aims to have a positive impact on the lives of one billion people by 2030 and pursues this goal through its core business, which supports local communities via a fair pricing model, and through the work of inVision, its non-profit arm that advances education, sports, arts and sciences, gender equality and other vital initiatives.

inDrive operates in 888 cities across 48 countries, continuing its commitment to challenging social injustice and driving community empowerment across the globe.
