KATHMANDU: Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 15 Series in Nepal, introducing four models that span flagship and mid‑range segments: the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 15 5G and Redmi Note 15 4G. The company said the new line‑up emphasises durability, long battery life, advanced camera systems and expanded AI and offline communication features.

Topping the series, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G features 6,500mAh Silicon‑Carbon (SiC) battery with 10% SiC content and 100W HyperCharge, which Xiaomi says can fully charge the device in about 40 minutes. Xiaomi also highlighted its Surge battery management system, claiming the SiC batteries retain 80% or more capacity after 1,600 charge cycles — equivalent to roughly six years of typical use for Pro models.

Xiaomi has positioned the series under a new 'Redmi Titan Durability' standard, noting multiple ingress and durability certifications, SGS‑verified 2.5‑metre drop resistance, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and a fibreglass‑composite construction. The Pro+ model debuts the Xiaomi IceLoop cooling system in the Redmi Note family, which the company described as a liquid heat‑pipe solution that improves thermal efficiency in its price segment.

Camera upgrades are a major focus for the higher trims. The Pro+ and Pro models carry a 200MP primary camera with in‑sensor zoom and optical image stabilisation, with the Pro+ introducing a 200MP HPE image sensor and advanced AI imaging features. Displays on the top models include large AMOLED panels with peak brightness up to 3,200 nits, and audio is enhanced by dual speakers with significant volume boosts and Dolby Atmos support on selected models.

Connectivity and AI features were also emphasised. Pro models include Xiaomi Offline Communication for kilometre‑range voice transmission without network coverage and the Xiaomi Surge T1S Tuner for more stable Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and cellular connections. All models support Google Gemini and Circle to Search, while higher trims add Xiaomi HyperAI functions such as AI Writing, Speech Recognition and Interpreter tools.

The Redmi Note 15 5G is the thinnest device in the series at 7.35mm and houses a 5,520mAh SiC battery and a 108MP camera with 3X in‑sensor zoom and OIS. The Redmi Note 15 4G offers a 6,000mAh battery, a 108MP camera with 3X telephoto and MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra for 4G connectivity. Across the line‑up, Xiaomi said features include Wet Touch 2.0 for wet‑screen operation and the company’s HyperOS.

Xiaomi announced local availability through Tele Direct and Vatsal Impex, with prices set as follows: Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G at Rs 66,999 for 12GB+512GB and Rs 59,999 for 8GB+256GB; Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G at Rs 56,999 for 12GB+512GB and Rs 49,999 for 8GB+256GB; Redmi Note 15 5G at Rs 46,999 for 12GB+512GB and Rs 39,999 for 8GB+256GB; and Redmi Note 15 4G at Rs 35,999 for 8GB+256GB and Rs 29,999 for 6GB+128GB.

To mark the launch, Xiaomi is offering promotional deals from January 19 to February 14, 2026, including 0% EMI for nine months and discounted bundling prices on Xiaomi Buds during the period.
