KATHMANDU: CG Electronics has launched 44 refrigerator models in Nepal, offering capacities from 60 litres to 550 litres as households prepare for the summer season.

The new range is intended to tackle common summer concerns such as food spoilage and high energy consumption, the company said. It highlighted features such as Multi-Air Flow and Fast Cooling technology to preserve freshness and nutrition, and Smart Inverter Technology to reduce electricity use by adjusting cooling to match demand.

The models include 33 single-door units ranging from 60 to 230 litres aimed at small households and compact spaces, nine double-door frost-free models from 220 to 350 litres for medium and joint families, and two high-capacity premium units — a 520-litre multi-door (CGMMD540MGI) and a 550-litre side-by-side model (CGMSBS560P5).

All models will be available through 21 CG Digital showrooms nationwide, an authorised dealer network, and online at cgdigital.com.np, and www.cginspiringlife.com. CG said after-sales support will be provided through more than 40 service centres across the country.

“In summer, a fridge is not just a machine; it is a device connected to the health and happiness of the family. The CG brand, connected to the homes of Nepalis for the past two decades, understands the sorrow of having to throw away spoiled food,” an official of CG Electronics said.

CG, the flagship brand of CG Electronics under the Chaudhary Group, noted its more than 40-year business history and emphasised its local presence and understanding of Nepali consumers’ needs. The company said the expanded refrigerator lineup aims to offer options for different family sizes and budgets.
