KATHMANDU: Nepal took part in the United Nations International Bazaar 2026 in New York, presenting elements of its cultural heritage at the annual event organised by the United Nations Delegations Spouses’ Club (UNDSC).
The Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations in New York said the country showcased traditional arts, crafts and handicrafts, offering visitors a glimpse into Nepal’s creativity, craftsmanship and national identity. The mission highlighted the display as a way to share Nepal’s cultural legacy with an international audience.
“It was truly inspiring to stand alongside fellow Member States, each sharing their unique traditions, authentic products, cuisines, and cultural expressions,” the Permanent Mission said in a press release. The statement added that the bazaar brimmed with vibrant energy, captivating performances and raffle activities that reflected international unity and goodwill.
“Witnessing the remarkable diversity of cultures from around the world reminded us of the strength that comes from mutual understanding, respect, and cooperation,” the mission said. “Together, through culture, friendship, and compassion, we continue to build a stronger, more connected, and more inclusive world,” it added.
The UN International Bazaar brings together delegations from across the globe to celebrate cultural diversity and humanitarian solidarity, providing a platform for countries to present traditional products and culinary specialities while raising awareness for charitable causes.
