KATHMANDU: Embark UnMath on Wednesday announced the successful implementation of its year-long “Entrepreneurial Maths” programme, which transforms traditional mathematics education into practical business training for students in Grades 6 to 12.
The programme addresses a critical gap in Nepal’s education system by demonstrating how mathematical concepts directly translate to business success, preparing students for entrepreneurship while reinforcing their academic foundations.
Unlike conventional classroom teaching, the scheme integrates authentic business challenges with mathematical learning through six strategically planned school visits. Students progress from understanding start-up mindsets and market analysis to developing prototypes and preparing comprehensive business plans.
The initiative will culminate in the December Start-Up Fest 2025 at Embark College, where students will manage a live marketplace and showcase the products they have developed.
Three schools – Sanskriti International School, Euro School Hattigauda and Alok Vidyashram – have already adopted the programme and reported proven results.
“We are not just teaching maths – we are showing students how numbers drive business decisions. Students learn financial planning, investment analysis, market research and data interpretation through hands-on entrepreneurial experiences,” said Divesh Bathija, co-founder of Embark UnMath School.
“The programme aims to transform Nepal from an educational departure point into a destination for quality learning, retaining talented students who can contribute to the country’s economic development,” he added.
Embark UnMath specialises in innovative educational programmes that bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application. The company is committed to transforming Nepal’s educational landscape through locally relevant, internationally competitive initiatives.
Schools interested in implementing the Entrepreneurial Maths programme can contact Embark UnMath, located on the premises of Embark College, for customised proposals tailored to their needs and student demographics.
