KATHMANDU: Hackathon 2.0 was held in Kathmandu, with an orientation on February 10 at Leapfrog Technology in Dillibazar, Kathmandu. A two-day bootcamp ran from Saturday at Adhyayan School in Samakhusi.
Organisers said the event attracted around 300 participants, organised into 53 teams representing 40 schools, including private and government institutions from inside and outside the Kathmandu Valley. Students and mentors from across Nepal gathered to collaborate on technology-driven projects.
The bootcamp focused on design thinking, problem solving, teamwork and technology skills, organisers said. Participants developed practical solutions to real-world problems and later presented their projects to a panel of judges in the competition’s final phase.
Hackathon 2.0 was presented jointly by Adhyayan School in collaboration with Leapfrog Technology, and the programme was powered by AWS and MTX, organisers said.
The initiative aimed to empower young innovators and strengthen a culture of creativity and digital skills among students.
Organisers said the programme was intended to prepare students for future opportunities in technology and innovation by giving them hands-on experience in prototyping and teamwork.
